Patrell Engineering Group, Inc. was formed in 1991. We are a service based firm that specializes in the structural design of residential and commercial swimming pools, large aquatic facilities, architectural fountains and large-scalerock formations utilizing natural and/or cast rock. We are specialists in the difficult structural design of outdoor art pieces and special naturalistic environments for zoo’s and theme parks world-wide. In addition to our specialized design expertise, we're also known for our more typical structural designs of residential and commercial wood, masonry or concrete buildings and outdoor hardscape and retaining walls. We are licensed in 33 states and can typically handle your specialized projects wherever they may be.

History

Principals

Mr. Ferrell is a registered civil engineer with over 30 years experience in the recreational water field. He has been involved in both the structural and hydraulic design of hundreds of aquatic and water feature projects. He has specialized experience in the design of complex water features and pools and has extensive field construction experience. Mr. Ferrell also specializes as a professional witness with experience in all facets of the structural and hydraulic issues related to swimming pools, water features and water park attractions.

Nancy Patton-Ferrell P.E.

Ms. Patton-Ferrell, a registered civil engineer with over 28 years experience, has a general engineering and project management background in the design of water, amusement, and specialized rockwork structures. She has designed naturalistic rockwork for over 20 years and is nationally recognized as one of the few experts in the rockwork design field. She also specializes in the structural design of pools, fountains, water features and dry structures. As a principal engineer, Ms. Patton-Ferrell's specific area of concentration within the firm is structural design.
